what will it take for you all to get typing?!
Well Ive started working on my zx
I have now full leather, although im a bit flumexed on the rear bench, with the leather one being a slide affair and the old one being fixed..think the boot carpets are different...
I have bought an mi16 8 branch manifold, which will be mated to a 405mi downpipe (no cat ) which will be mated to a custom exhaust.
also got the mi inlet complete, im toying with the idea of fitting that or to get my acav working properly.

Well as I posted recently I am quite a lazy admin and most users too
But the truth is my 16V is more in it's little home then it's on the road. As a matter of fact I took it out for a spin yesterday to keep the battery alive

As with many other forums, most of the sign-ups are just to read or to sign up and never visit again.
It's a 16V board and how many members actually have a 16V? Not many...but there is one positive side, the site had users from different countries and that for an in-popular model as the ZX.

eheh, well if we keep a hardcore group of say 5 going, at least we can keep each other going in terms of enthusiam, i have a mk3 fiesta rs turbo and every now and again i lose interest, all i do is log on to a forum and the others get me back into it.
i suppose like myself other posters here dont actually 'know' other zx owners so we will have to keep each other going in times of dis interest!
right first technical question. the wire going from the black oblong box (that also feeds the inejectors) that goes to the solenoid in the drivers wing (that is cut into a vacuum pipe). well that soleniod is clicking like hell on my zx, the acav opens from idle, but doesnt close again when the revs rise, i think it has something to do with that soleniod, what is it?
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I'm going to check out a '93 Clio Williams that's supposed to be in mint condition. If it is, then there's a possibility that this forum will lose another "active" member. On the other hand I'd love to keep the ZX as my daily car and add the Williams as a weekend car, but that will probably too expensive for my budget.

I know.
First I'm going to see the Williams. Then on Friday the ZX is going to the garage for a new MOT, maintenance and a Devil cat replacement pipe. After that I'll decide what to do.
1) Keep the ZX.
2) Sell the ZX and buy the Williams.
3) Keep the ZX and try to get the money together to buy the Williams.
Having both cars would be great, but financially it's the worst of the three options, so it's not very likely to happen.
In fact the most sane option is to keep the ZX. It's a younger car ('97 vs '93) with lower milage (56k vs 106k) and it's in pretty good condition. And since the Williams will cost me more than I'll get for the ZX, keeping the ZX means I'd feel more comfortable financially. And this logic vs emotion battle inside me is driving me nuts!

No way, that is possibly the nicest looking zx i've ever seen...in std form obviously a kit car is a wee bit prettier, but the colour WOW!!!! can't flog that for a Renault???????

Thanks Steve.
It's not going for any old Renault of course. It has got to be a minter.

Obling box??
Drivers wing... hmm is that lefty or righty since you guys have the steeringwheel on the wrong side lol I think its you carbon filter thats in the wing. It has a valve and yours is apparantly clikcing.... I've seen it too when my CHIPPED ECU had a fault
ACAV kicks in at just above idle as you stated, it wil move again @ about 5k RPM.

And it is a minter. Not sure yet what's going to happen to the ZX, but if the Williams passes a technical examination, then I'm going for it.
