Just thought id say hi and show you all my ZX.

Bought it 2 years ago for 350 quid to use as a runaround while i did a re paint on my 200sx. From the first drive i loved it and was hooked on the brilliant chassis , engine and its looks.

Loved it so much my nissan is still sat in my yard and decided to turn the ZX into a cheap track toy. Its done 4 trackdays at oulton park covering 1000 track miles and hasnt missed a beat, the only problem ive had with it was the acav system when i bought it, couple of diaframs later and it was sorted.

Mods to date are,

Team dynamics pro race 1.2's
GTI 6 calipers and disks
Yellow stuff pads
Goodridge lines
G max kit
New bushes, link rods ect all round
Maniflow 4-2-1 manifold
Magnex full system
Power chip
Custom K&n kit
Mocal oil cooler
Group N engine mounts
Half cage
Fully stripped

Next on the agenda is coilovers, perspex windows, and a full re paint in a different colour.

They realy are a great little car, it allways suprises people on track and the handling is awesome, it has the the best chassis ive ever driven.
Nice to see there are a few others around, there so rare now ive not seen another one for years.

Hope you all like it :D

Hi mate, I use silverstone rr and toyo 888 on track, think I prefer the silverstones but not much difference tbh . Is yours the green one ? It looks a minter. We'll have to try and go on the same day, my next one will be feb or march.

Another 200SX and ZX owner :D

I'm half in with VTCarl on the green ZX.
Do you find GTI6 calipers and yellowstuff cope well enough on track?
Hopefully as it starts getting warmer next year we'll sort the rest of suspension out - we're unsure what dampers/springs we'll go with so it will be good to see what you go for.
Are temps OK on track? We have to replace radiator and thinking of trying to fit the twin fan setup.

Don't think our is going to be ready for track next year but would be great to see yours going round a track.

Really like what you've done with it 8)

Thanks for the reply's ,

I got my manifold from maniflow 370 quid! Expensive but worth it, it gives better mid range and slightly better top end. The exhaust was for a gti 6 but hsd it modified slightly to fit.
I use pagid plane 283mm disks with yellow stuff and they do the job up until 15 laps or so and you can feel the fade creep in. Going to try different pads next year with possibly the 406 coupe brembos.
Honestly can't fault the G max kit for the money, handle's really well, but just want it to be a bit stiffer in the corners so looking at maybe some Spax rsx. Don't want it to be too harsh though because its my daily drive aswell! :D

No mate standard rims won't go over the gti 6 calipers

Very nice car, nice pictures too! Congratulations! Like too much these rims!

What about Ferodo's DS2500 pads? Pals from 306GTi6 forum tell good things about them.

Little update,

Just got some 406 brembos to use with the xantia 288mm disks. ordered some ebc blustuff ndx pads as they have been getting some good reveiws and there cheaper than most other same spec pads and a pair of ear plugs for the squealing!

Feb/march time im tackling the bodywork and going to fit a full cage. cant decide weather to do a colour change or keep it as it is.I quite fancy doing it in light grey with red cage and wheels kinda like the gt3 rs scheme. What do you guys think?
