Hello everyone! It's nice to see so much 16v on this forum! I'd like to show you my ... 24v ;) I have it almost 4 years. It’s my second ZX – first 16v had totally crashed with not my fault :( The engine was swapped from 2.0 16v 152hp to 3.0 24v (194hp and about 300Nm) from 406 coupe. The swap took about 3 weeks with my mechanic. Swap was 2 years ago and the car rides to this day with this awesome engine. I made about 30kkm without any problems. Current mileage is 360 kkm. Here is some photos of my first zx: unfortunately crashed :( and this is my second zx: and the heart: Here some movies how it's running: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RXg16x3 ... re=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfHDHese ... re=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iS6pmDAj00 I'll put some photos from swap in next post. |

there was one conversion in the UK a while ago, has been transplanted into a 206 recently! not a fan of the exhaust note, seems much too sharp I helped build a 306 Rallye V6 a while ago, that was not very easy trying to get clearance, but wiring and final fab was easy enough, we used a custom made top engine mount so no shell mods were made, only extensive subframe mods! |

thanks for good words, My inspiration was v6 from UK, but nowadays it has been transplanted into p206 (what a crazy and insane idea) I know that whole exhaust system should be changed.. I'll do it soon, but first planning paint job. It's running really nice, acceleration is not bad, traction also quite good (engine with gearbox is about 60kg heavier). @welshpug, have you got any photos of these custom made top engine mounting parts? |
