Passenger seat unable to fold

hi, how do i fix this?

Car seat won't fold after pulling the lever. Guess "latch" may have dislocated somewhere.

If I'm not mistaking the lever drives a cable that runs to the bottom of the seat. You should see it at the back under the seat.

something like a small latch broke somewhere in between. The inner side of seat no reaction when pulling the lever.

is there a way to fix it?

took whole seat out to troubleshoot & fix..finally its done, seat is functionally back :) The lever pulls 2cables (left & right) to enable folding. 1 of the hooks snapped. Made a modification to tie the cable to a "screw".

the unfortunate thing is while dismantling the covers etc, broke the brittle plastic that acts as "tightener" for cover :(
