 Post subject: My ZX 2.0i 16V - light wheight.

I have now found my self a new prodject:

-94 ZX 2.0 16v, no rust, 2 doors, 100'km.

MY GOAL: TO MAKE A EVERYDAY CAR WHIT WEIGHT ON 99KG AND 170-180HK WHIT OUT EMPTYING MY POCKET!

Weight reduction done to day:
- Rear seats.
- Spare tire whit tyre monting an tools.
- Rear windo wiper an wiper engine.
- Inndoor roof handle, some plastic covers etc.

The weight is now 1100kg - Down 95 kg form 1195kg.

Next prodject:
Carbon hood and remove roof window (weight reduction).

I need some help:

- I think I hvae the XU104JRS engine. I want to build a new exhaust and a sport camshaft.

Anyone know where to by this??

if you want a lightweight car, why don´t you make a lightweight engine? J4RS head, XU7 block, ....

Usually there will be a carbonfilter to "catch" fueldamp. In holland this is not required so it can be removed. Only a few kg though.

Tanks for the tip, where is this filter? Do you have an picture that shows it?

hi truls000, where are you located? have pics of your car?

camshafts you can find at www.larkspeed.com - Kent Cams, Cat Cams. you can check specs in their site http://www.kentcams.com/ and http://www.catcams.be/

you can try Taylor Engineering, I think they regrind your original cams http://www.taylor-eng.com/

to reduce more weight you can try Lexan (polycarbonate) windows but I think its too expensive...

some "honda lovers" here to save weight remove ABS, air conditioner and hydraulic wheel assistance...too much radical for me 8)
