Hello, does anyone know of the best way to remove the exhaust manifold?
The area around it is so tight. which way does it come out?

Basically I have a 8 branch manifold that I want to fit.

on the RFY it'll come out the top easily enough if you remove the top r/h engine mounting arm and tilt the engine forwards.

fitting the new manifold will be a different task though, easiest way is to drop the subframe complete, unless the manifold is in 2 parts? not seen any 8 branck manifolds, most are just 4.

The actual stud pattern on top is different, i was going to make a long 'washer' to clamp it up to the head.
Or is it the actual physical size of the manifold?

It's longer and the angle is different. So modifications to the downpipe are necessary.

if you want a decent manifold for it get in tough with miles at pugracing, not too far from you in Fordingbridge.
