A little update,
Decided finally to bite the bullet and sort out the rust issues...
Various little holes in front arches.
But worst is the non existent off side rear lifting point and the very front of the sill.
Took the off side skirt off today, does anyone know where to get the white clips what hold the top of the skirt, service box says they are discontinued but will be ringing various dealers soon.
Depressing photos to follow.
Mark I've lost your mob number.....

Welding bloke has got it now. Had to remove fuel tank and front struts. Make brand new sills as no-one makes aftermarket zx sills Regarding the clips I only found one supplier and he only had 4 (which I bought). "apparently" these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1399wt_802 might fit, I've bought a set and will wet you know...

Hi, re the 6 speed conversion, does the original linkage fit? I realise the gti6 gearstick and cable are needed but did you change the bar and small links over too? Also did you need to drill a hole in the bulkhead for the reverse cable or does it fit through an existing hole?
Mines going in a Xsara but should be the same as the zx as far as converting goes.
Merry Christmas, Steve.

The little gear linkages are the same, and yes you do need to drill a small hole.
